Lorton is a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia. Until November 2001, Lorton was the site of the Lorton Reformatory, today a Workhouse Art Center. Gunston Hall is a beautiful Georgian mansion built in 1759 for the US Founding Father George Mason.
